Saelyn Grima is For Sale - SOLD

Asking Price: $79,500 SOLD
Boat Name: Saelyn Grima

SAELYN GRIMA is currently in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Huge ground tackle. 700 engine hours. Huge aft cabin. Good in light airs. 422s are the rare center cockpit cousin of the 424s. Many have circumnavigated, and this boat has sailed the Black Sea, the west coast of Africa, and been on multiple Caribbean tours.

They are moderate displacement boats, and will move in light airs when heavy displacement boats are motoring. Yet, unlike many of today's light displacement boats, she is strong. The hull to deck joint is glassed, instead of simply bolted. The hull and keel are integral. The rudder is skeg hung.

This boat has beautiful wood paneling throughout. She has six four standing headroom, which makes her feel open. In addition, the dinning table has been made convertible so it can stow in the aft cabin hallway. This creates a huge open living space in the living room, with the nav desk part of the work space.

In many other center cockpits this size you have to duck to get into the aft cabin, while this boat has standing headroom. In addition, the work space in the hallway is very functional.

Accommodations

Enormous aft cabin with walk around queen on both sides.  Amazing for a boat of this size.  Doors to engine and bath.  Comfortable  V-Birth with direct bathroom.  Custom living room pull out couch pulls into a double.  Single birth across.  Lee cloths for both. 2 heads.  Propane stove (3 burners), double sink.  Pressurized water and foot pumps.  One hundred thirty gallon water storage.  1 manual 1 electric toilet.  There is a large dinnete that seats six.  We made it convertible, by putting it in the hallway to the aft cabin.  We use a Pelican case as a coffee table, and have a ships light that hangs above it.

Vessel Walk Through

This vessel is one of the rare Pearson 422s.  We love it because the center cockpit sits high, with a great view, and gets lost of air.  The dinning room, with the dinette moved out is huge, and our master bedroom is giant.  The nav station faces the living room, and makes a great desk.  And, the hallway has standing headroom with a great work table.  The wood paneling throughout is beautiful

  1. Hello! What are the large container like items on deck just aft of the cockpit? They look to be additions to the coach roof there.

  2. Just viewed the boat. Those aft boxes are no longer in place.
